Why do I need the Acrobat Reader?

IME wants you to be able to access all of our publication and products electronically. In addition to HTML files, like this one, we create Adobe Acrobat PDF files. These files look just like the original printed piece, whether it's a printed paper or newsletter. You can print them to your laser printer, or keep a copy on your hard drive for a quick and easy reference.

But what if I already have version 2.1?

You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 to view these files. Even if you already have version 2.1, please download version 3.0! Documents created using Adobe Acrobat 3.0 may not be opened with version 2.1 of the reader. This is due to advances in Acrobat that include aggressive file compression, indexed searching, and forms. The PDF files on our web site is only version 3.0. These advanced features will help make our web site a better source of information for you, so please take the time to install the reader from the Adobe web site.
